Itinerary

DAY 1: Arrival Cochin – Munnar

  • Arrive Cochin airport - Welcomed by Minar Travels representative at the airport and transfer to Munnar a hill station located 1600 meters above sea level. Once the summer resort of the erstwhile British administration in South India it still retains its colonial charm and is famous for its tea plantations, most of which are privately owned. With its sprawling estates, rolling hills, sparkling waterfalls, picture postcard hamlets and undulating valleys, Munnar is an ideal getaway destination. Check into Hotel. Rest of the day at leisure to enjoy the ambiance of Munnar.
  • Overnight at the resort. 

DAY 2: Munnar 

  • After a breakfast sightseeing tour of Munnar, the tea museum, Eravikulam National Park (home to the endangered Nilgiri Thar mountain goat amongst others), Mattupetty Dam, etc. Also during the sightseeing, you can simply walk through the local enchanting tea estates and enjoy the tranquility it provides.

DAY 3: Munnar - Thekkady

  • After breakfast drive to Periyar an area known for its undulating hills, spice plantations, and elephant sightings. One of the 27 tiger reserves in India, the Periyar valley in Thekkady is the oldest. Check into Hotel. Visit the spice plantations in the afternoon, where you will be enticed by not only the aroma of spices like cinnamon, cardamom, pepper, and nutmeg but will also get to know how they are grown, harvested and processed before they reach the supermarkets. In the evening you could go for a boat ride where you will have the opportunity to sight elephants and other animals along the bank.

DAY 4: Thekkady – Kumarakom

  • Breakfast at the hotel and drive to Kumarakom. Known for its bird sanctuary, Kumarakom is an oasis of tranquility that soothes both body and soul. Indeed, from mangrove forests to paddy fields, Kumarakom is truly a place worth visiting at least once during your tour to Kerala. Check into a hotel on arrival and spend the remaining part of the day at leisure.
  • Stay overnight in  Resort.

DAY 5: Kumarakom- Kovalam 

  • After breakfast drive to Kovalam. Check-in to Resort at Kovalam. Afternoon at leisure or visit Trivandrum city for shopping.
  • Overnight stay at Resort at Kovalam.

DAY 6: Kovalam – Kanyakumari - Kovalam

  • Afternoon, transfer to Kanyakumari. On the way visit Padmanabhapuram Palace, Suceendram Temple. At Kanyakumari, sightseeing tour covering Swami Vivekananda Memorial, Triveni Sangamam (Meeting Place of Indian Ocean, Arabian Sea, and the Bay of Bengal ) and Thiruvalluvar Statue. Evening witnesses the spectacular sunset view at Kanyakumari and then return to Kovalam.
  • Overnight stay at Resort at Kovalam.

DAY 7: Trivandrum Departure

  • After breakfast, we provide you with a full day sightseeing trip in Trivandrum. Visit: The Napier Museum, Kuthiramalika Museum, Sri Padmanabha Temple.
